BIKES 4 KIDS DRIVE

Most of us remember learning to ride that first bike?  Was it a Banana bike? A ten speed?  A mountain bike?

Unfortunately, not all kids today in the tri-cities will have that same opportunity.     Here’s where we can make a difference.  Gather your gently used bikes and the folks at 360 Cycle have committed to shine them up, and make them ‘like new’.  Bikes must be in working condition.

Between November 15th and December 15t  participating real estate offices of the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver will collect these bikes and partner up with 360 Cycle to refurbish these bikes so that they will be under a Christmas tree to make a local child VERY happy!

The Bike Drive is looking to collect gently used bikes of all shapes and sizes. Refurbished bikes will be distributed through local charities, and community service organizations.

Niki Jacques at 360 Cycle has put out an appeal to our community for donations. Imagine the difference we can make when a single child wakes up on Christmas morning to a ‘new’ bike.

IN MEMORY...

IN MEMORY OF ALL OUR FAMILIES AND FRIENDS WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR OUR FREEDOM

IN FLANDERS FIELDS
By Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place: and in the sky
The larks still bravely singing fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the dead: Short days ago,
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved: and now we lie
In Flanders fields!

Take up our quarrel with the foe
To you, from failing hands, we throw
The torch: be yours to hold it high
If ye break faith with us who die,
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields
